Byblos Designer Brand

cByblos was created in the ‘70s as a young brand designed to meet the needs of young people. Now, on the verge of 40, Byblos is a regular feature of the Milan prêt-à-porter runways. The Swinger International group acquired Byblos in 2002; it has integrated the brand’s experimentation – always one of its greatest priorities – with high product quality.

Swinger International was established in Verona by Dino Facchini and Lilly Dalli Cani. It became well-known in the Eighties and Nineties for its licensing agreements with top labels such as Roccobarocco, Fendi, Ungaro and Vivienne Westwood. Byblos was acquired from Prada Group in 2002, then in 2009 Swinger International entered into a major licensing agreement with Versace for it’s Versus and Versace Jeans labels.

The Byblos brand is very well known and popular in Italy, not least among celebrities. The label designed by Manuel Facchini has dressed many Italian film, TV and music personalities, such as Cristiana Capotondi, Claudia Gerini, Manuela Arcuri, Ilaria D’amico, Kartika Luyet, Valeria Mazza, Nadege, Melissa Satta, Cristiane Filangeri, Michela Quattrociocche, Micaela Ramazzotti, Martina Stella, Laura Chiatti, Violante Placido and Federica Panicucci.
